M10 have a great mentoring programme which strategically links students with industry professionals, equipping them with the necessary skills and confidence to transition into higher education and the world of work.
As the programme has gained popularity within schools, M10 faced the challenge of sourcing additional industry mentors to meet the increasing demand. Recognising the necessity for a broader network of mentors was crucial to the programme’s continued success.
Working with Sarah Cogdon was simple and straightforward. She is extremely organised and her communication is on point. She comes with so many ideas, even when you can't fully verbalise what it is you see yourself. Sarah also works very quickly and utilises time well. Stephen Riley - Chief Executive, M10
To address this growing need, we developed an engaging short film aimed at attracting potential mentors from various industries. The film features interviews and testimonials from current mentors, illustrating the significant impact they make on the lives of students. By showcasing mentors with backgrounds ranging from startups to large corporations, we presented a diverse array of experiences that potential mentors could connect with.
The film is set to be utilised across multiple platforms, including online media, websites, presentations, and pitches. Its aim is not only to highlight the rewarding nature of mentoring but also to underscore the crucial role mentors play in equipping young people with the skills and confidence they need for their future careers.
We use the final video in just about everything. We are getting a steady flow of mentors applying which means the video is doing its job. Any events we run, we use it there too and have sent it out to the many schools and colleges who want to know more about what we do. Stephen Riley - Chief Executive, M10
